AIRSOFT GUN SAFETY RULES!!!

RULE I: ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED.
RULE II: NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO SHOOT.
RULE III: KEEP YOUR FINGER STRAIGHT AND OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT.
RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND YOUR BACKGROUND.
RULE V: ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION WHEN HANDLING AIRSOFT GUNS OR AROUND OTHERS WITH AIRSOFT GUNS.
RULE VI: LEAVE MAGS OUT OF AIRSOFT GUNS UNTIL YOU ARE IN THE FIELD OF PLAY OR TARGET RANGE.
RULE VII: NEVER USE OR DISPLAY YOUR AIRSOFT GUNS IN PUBLIC.

RULE I: ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

A gun is always treated as loaded. DO NOT be lulled into a false sense of security because an airsoft gun is not a real firearm. At close range, almost any airsoft gun is capable of causing a serious injury. Never assume a gun is unloaded.

RULE II: NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT WILLING TO SHOOT

If you point your gun at any person or anything, you must be prepared to shoot it. If not, keep your muzzle down and in a safe direction. This is a simple and easy rule to follow and prevents many accidental injuries.

RULE III: KEEP YOUR FINGER STRAIGHT AND OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO SHOOT

Keep your finger straight and off the trigger, and outside the trigger guard. If you are not engaging a target, there is no need to have your finger on the trigger. Walking around with your finger on the trigger is not only a sign of an unsafe shooter but also a sign of an inexperienced shooter. Remember, your finger is the last form of safety device for your gun.

RULE IV: BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND YOUR BACKGROUND

Be aware of what your target is, and what is in front of and beyond the target. Be aware of any friendly players that might cross your line of fire. Better not to take the shot than to cause injury to someone or friendly fire to your teammate.

RULE V: ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION WHEN HANDLING AIRSOFT GUNS OR AROUND OTHERS WITH AIRSOFT GUNS.

Players getting shot in the set up area without eye protection has happened on several occasions, and is always preventable. Unpacking, packing and preforming maintenance is a hi-risk time. So eye wear should be the first thing unpacked and last thing put away. So it can even be a good idea to have a simple pair of shooting glasses for this reason alone.

RULE VI: LEAVE MAGS OUT OF AIRSOFT GUNS UNTIL YOU ARE IN THE FIELD OF PLAY OR TARGET RANGE.

Get in the habit of only installing the magazine when you're on the field of play and uninstalling when walking off the field. (See Rule V)

RULE VII: NEVER USE OR DISPLAY YOUR AIRSOFT GUNS IN PUBLIC.

It's irrelevant of what you think you are doing, you must understand any member of the pubic does not understand and will assume the worst. And this can easily end up with you arrested or worse case shot and killed. This includes private property in view of public, public parks and schools on the weekends or any time for that matter. The only safe play zones in designated play sites, or on private property out of sight from the public view. And ALWAYS carry your airsoft guns in a gun bag or case, out of sight.
Please remember that these rules ALWAYS apply, regardless of whether you are actively using the airsoft guns, or relaxing back at the safe zone.
And don't be afraid to remind your friends!
